Voici les photos prises par Joé Lacerte lors du spectacle de Nothing More présenté par Heavy Montréal, Evenko et Greenland Productions au Théâtre Corona de Montréal le 19 août 2018 et qui mettait également à l’affiche Bad Wolves et Eyes Set To Kill.
Ce mois-ci, deux vidéos de géants québécois du death metal ont fait leur apparition sur le web. Je vous les ai rassemblés, pour ceux qui les auraient manqués au passage.
L’un des groupes les plus prometteurs et sur une belle lancée au Québec présentement, Beyond Creation, a publié une nouvelle vidéo officielle pour « The Inversion« , une pièce de leur nouvel album « Algorythm« , qui paraîtra le 12 octobre prochain sous Season of Mist. Beyond Creation est un groupe de death progressif et technique avec un son très recherché et des ambiances parfois plus calmes qui savent rehausser le groove et la puissance de leurs mélodies et rythmiques élaborées.
J’ai eu le privilège de participer à cette diffusion en concevant leur nouveau site web et en intégrant le design (par Alex Chartré) de l’identité visuelle du nouvel album, pour promouvoir la mise en vente des « pre-orders« . J’en parle ici parce que c’est un service qu’Ondes Chocs offre maintenant à la communauté metal : la conception et mise en ligne de sites web pour artistes et autres professionnels du domaine. Augury est un groupe phare du death metal Québécois et ce, depuis aussi longtemps que je puisse me souvenir être un partisan de la scène metal, c’est-à-dire le début des années 2000, lors de mes premiers concerts alors que j’étais un adolescent. Leur plus récent album, « Illusive Golden Age », est paru le 30 mars dernier sous The Artisan Era, et voici donc la vidéo officielle de la pièce titre de l’album.

WARCALL Annonce sa tournée « On Board Eastern Canadian Tour » avec Through The Dusk (de France)

À l’automne 2017, le groupe de thrash canadien WARCALL a lancé leur album « Invaders » et a fait de la tournée a travers l’Europe pendnt le mois d’octobre. Il est maintenant temps de retourner la faveur et d’emmener l’un de ces groupes pour performer dans l’est du Canada avec eux. Ils prendront la route avec le groupe français, Through The Dusk pour performer au Quebec, Nouveau Brunswick et Nouvelle-Écosse (voir dates ci-dessous).
Commentaire du groupe :
« We are very proud to finally be able to do a Canadian tour in 2018 in support of our album « Invaders » album. It is the first time we will be touring our own country since 2011 so it is long overdue! We will be focusing on the Eastern part of the country and playing a very special set list covering our entire catalog plus a few surprises. For that trip, we will be taking with us our friends Through The Dusk from France. We met them on our 2015 European tour and have been working with them since to bring them over here. The tour kicks off in Sainte Thérèse on October 4th and will include our annual Montreal show at Petit Campus on October 5th. The trek will end in Moncton on the 13th. Cheers and beers to be expected! »
WARCALL est inspiré par Iron Maiden, Metallica, Motorhead, Dissection et Slayer, leur musique est rapide, aggressive, mélodique and dramatique. Leur plus récent album « Invaders » est un album ayant un concept dans lequel l’humanité se bat contre une invasion extra-terrestre avec un message de combat contre l’oppression, de résister, re-conquérir, mais sans savoir si c’est vraiment terminé.

La formation EMPRESS de Québec, regroupant Eddy Levitsky (Hollow) et Karina Charbonnier, a mis en ligne un nouveau lyric video pour son deuxième single « Crawl ». Empress est un projet de metal mélodique ayant travaillé avec des musiciens tels que Tommy McKinnon (ex-Augury), Fred Riverin (I Legion), et Sébastien Ladouceur (Our Darkest Days).
Commentaire de Karina :
« Crawl is for those who go through hard times and are searching for a way to regain strength. So basically, this song touches everyone, we all go through rough patches at different times in our life! I hope that Crawl makes people realize that they’re not alone, that it motivates them to first accept their difficulties and then, help overcome them. »
