Il existe un style musical particulier au Québec que j’ai toujours affectionné et que j’ai affectueusement appelé le punkrock agricole bien que ça n’a aucun rapport avec l’agriculture ou la campagne. C’est juste que c’est une musique qui parle de préoccupations locales dans un langage local et j’ai nommé ici le très apprécié joual. C’est comme une musique du terroir finalement.
Si vous voulez des exemples, il y a eu pour n’en nommer que quelques-uns, des groupes comme Gou-H, Sandwich, General Fools, Gouvernement Zel et dès le début de «#36», j’ai eu un heureux souvenir de ces derniers et de leur «fameux» album «Vente de Feu».
Bon maintenant que ceux qui connaissent les groupes ci-haut mentionnés savent de quoi il sera question et que ceux qui ne les connaissent pas, ont juste hâte de savoir ce que ça mange en hiver un groupe avec un nom de même, bein dites-vous que COUPS D’PIED DANS FACE joue une musique pesante et groovy dans l’esprit du vrai crossover punk qui plaira aux fans de Dayglo Abortions («Ton Ostie d’Cell» m’a d’ailleurs fait penser à «Argh, Fuck, Kill»), avec des paroles des plus terre à terre qui dénoncent avec ironie les attitudes antisociales qui irritent la quiétude quotidienne. On est tous tanné de certains flics qui sont caves, des caves tout le temps sur leur cellulaire, des caves qui gâchent les partys en étant trop soûl, des caves au volant, bein COUPS D’PIED DANS FACE a mis tout ça en mots et dans une musique qui, sans être compliquée et sans l’attitude de «stage hero», crée une énergie parfaite pour le moshpit.

There is a particular musical style in Quebec that I always liked and that I affectionately called «agricultural punkrock» although it has no connection with agriculture or the countryside. Okay now that those who know the above mentioned groups, know what kind of music will be discussed here and that those who do not know them, are just figuring out that COUPS D’PIED DANS FACE means «A Kick in the Face» maybe you can feel that COUPS D’PIED DANS FACE has a pissed of attitude rendered in a heavy and groovy music in the spirit of true punk crossover that will appeal to fans of Dayglo Abortions («Ton Ostie d’Cell» (which translate into «Your Fuckin Cellphone» reminded me «Argh Fuck Kill»), with lyrics voicing, with irony, daily preoccupations denouncing antisocial attitudes that challenge the daily tranquility. We are all tired of some cops who are powertrip jerks, jerks annoying people in public all the time with their cell phone, jerks that ruin partys being too drunk, jerks behind the wheel on the highway, well I guess you got the point WE ARE ALL FED UP OF JERKS, COUPS D’PIED DANS FACE put it all into words and in perfect music for the moshpit.
