Quand on considère que dès la première édition canadienne de ce concours mondial le Canada a gagné le Wacken Metal Battle, ça donne le goût de se partir un band et de participer! En effet, Crimson Shadows de Toronto ont réussi à prendre leur Epic Metal et le transformer en gagnant sur le plus gros stage métal au monde, LE festival des festivals. Avec la 2e édition qui s’en vient à grands pas, les bands sont maintenant invités à soumettre leur candidature et le tout sera encore plus attrayant en 2014 avec l’ajout de Calgary, Edmonton et Vancouver au mix. J’ai pris le temps de parler à l’organisateur principal J. J. Tartaglia et un autre membre de l’organisation, Jon Asher, à propos de ce concours et je vous offre la discussion dans la Capsule Ondes Chocs ci-dessous. En prime, je vous ajoute la Capsule que j’ai fait avec Crimson Shadows et son drummer Cory Hofing en juillet dernier, sur laquelle on lançait en primeur le premier extrait de leur EP sorti en 2013 et aussi juste avant leur visite de l’Allemagne.

When we consider that the first Canadian edition of this international contest has won the Wacken Metal Battle, it’s tempting to start our own band and participate! You read that correctly, Crimson Shadows from Toronto were able to take their Epic Metal to the world’s biggest metal stage and win the contest during THE festival of all festivals. With the 2nd edition quickly knocking on our doors, bands are once again invited to submit their candidacy and the whole experience will be even more attractive with the addition of the Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver markets to the competition. I took the time to talk to the main organizer J. J. Tartaglia and other member of the organisation, Jon Asher, about the contest and I offer you the discussion in the bilingual Ondes Chocs Capsules below. As a bonus, I also add the Capsule I made last July with Crimson Shadows’ drummer Cory Hofing in which we launched the first single of their 2013 EP and right before their visit of Germany.
