Aujourd’hui on se prend du Thrash, du Speed et du Groove métal, on le met dans le malaxeur, on saupoudre de nouvelle rt vieille école, on expédie à Vancouver presto et on donne le nom de Crucifliction à ce projet de malade mental!
Comme première offrande dans notre longue lignée d’entrevues pour soulignée la 2e édtion du Wacken Metal Battle Canada, je vous offre ce quatuor de l’Ouest canadien et c’est aussi samedi le 1er mars que sera lancé officiellement l’album avec un show dans leur coin de pays. « Heresy Is Met With Fire » est sorti en décembre et comme vous allez entendre dans l’entrevue ci-dessous (avec aussi deux tracks), il n’est pas toujours facile de se trouver des lineups où performer.
J’aime beaucoup l’attitude des boys qui se donne et veulent faire tout très professionnellement, comme preuve l’enregistrement vidéo de leur lancement qui sera sorti en DVD avec d’autres footage de leur passage en studio et pleins de trucs du genre. Une découverte pour moi et je vous invite, si vous êtes dans le coin le 5 mars prochain et que vous n’avez pas vu leur lancement quatre jours plus tôt, à les voir lors de la première ronde du concours national \m/

Today we take Thrash, Speed and Groove metal, we put it in the mixer, sprinkle new and old school, ship it to Vancouver and we give the name Crucifliction to this project!
As a first offering in our long line of interviews highlighting the second edition of Wacken Metal Battle Canada, I offer you this quartet of Western Canada and it’s also on Saturday March 1st that they will officially launch the album with a show in their part of the country. « Heresy Is Met With Fire » was released in December and as you ‘ll hear in the interview below (also with two tracks from the debut album), it is not always easy to find shows in their own region.
I love the attitude of the boys who give their all to this project and want to do everything very professionally, as evidenced by the video recording of their album launch and will release it on DVD with other footage from their stay in the studio and full of stuff like that. A discovery for me and I invite you, if you ‘re in the area on March 5 and you have not seen their launch four days earlier, to see them play in the first round of the national competition \ m /
A new breed of speed/thrash metal has been born. Crafting metal with punishing grooves and flashy solos, CRUCIFLICTION takes the stage and destroys all competition.
Focusing on an energetic and musically technical live show, CRUCIFLICTION boasts dual lead guitars and infectious bass grooves. Complete with supersonic shotgun vocals, and ferocious drumming, CRUCIFLICTION will continue to perform their unique brand of speed/thrash metal across Canada, quickly moving onto the U.S. and beyond.
CRUCIFLICTION recorded their full length « Heresy Is Met With Fire » in the years 2012-2013 at Rain City Recorders and Long & McQuade. Working with talented producer and engineer Travis Box and the mastering guru Stuart McKillop, the result is a high energy, intense, and intricate example of what CRUCIFLICTION has to offer. With memorable riffs and solos that rival the band’s influences, this taste of what CRUCIFLICTION is able to accomplish has already started a buzz in the global metal community.
CRUCIFLICTION’S inertia will only grow exponentially until they have overwhelmed metal fans the world over. Thrashers one and all, come forth and mosh!
